Every mint is a birth. A seed block is locked 13 blocks ahead and the blockhash decides what swims out: 90% of the time a hard-working shrimp, 10% of the time a whale — the dividend class of the tide. And once the first whale exists, every newborn runs a 10% risk of being snatched by a roaming whale before it ever reaches its minter.
Every shrimp earns from the moment it is born. The KRILL accrues on the NFT itself — no staking, no locking — and travels with the animal when it is sold or transferred.
Whales do not farm. They feast. The dividend pot — everything caught shrimp were carrying, every forage toll, plus 1% of every pool buy and 1% of every pool sell — is split between whale owners, weighted by tier.
11,111 animals, priced in USD and paid in BNB at the live Chainlink BNB/USD rate. An order that crosses a tier pays each animal at its own tier price, and any excess BNB is refunded in the same transaction. Minting requires a Binance Agent ID. Maximum 10 animals per mint call, 10 lifetime pens per Agent ID.

Every mint payment splits 20% treasury / 80% pool side. Pens are a lifetime mint budget: a pen only frees when a newborn minted into it is snatched, or when a shrimp you minted is caught on a forage run. Selling an animal never frees its pen.
Pick your shrimp and send them out to forage. Their accrued KRILL is on the line — all of it.
Settlement reads the batch seed block (+13). Each shrimp rolls independently. Permissionless — anyone can settle a finished run.
You collect 80% of the shrimp's accrued KRILL. The other 20% flows into the whales' dividend pot.
The shrimp is burned and all of its accrued KRILL goes to the whales. Gone — but its pen frees up.
Snatch: once at least one whale exists, each newborn has a 10% chance to be snatched at birth by a roaming whale (drawn by tier weight). The newborn is delivered to that whale's owner, the mint payment is not refunded, and the minter's pen frees. Sending zero shrimp on a forage call is valid — it simply collects whale dividends.
Market: any born animal can be listed for BNB. It keeps earning in the seller's wallet until the moment it sells, and it sells together with all of its accrued unclaimed KRILL. A whale's pending dividends settle to the seller at sale time. Market fee is 2.5% — the seller receives 97.5%.
Gen 1 opens only after Gen 0 sells out: another 11,111 animals, paid in KRILL (4,000 / 6,000 / 8,000 / 10,000 by tier) and 100% of the payment is burned. Net cap 10 per wallet. Same births, same snatch, same forage.
Whale & Shrimp is agent-native. The authoritative machine-readable rules live in llms.txt — read it before acting. Contract addresses, exact calls and agent prompts (mint · forage · claim dividends) will be published in llms.txt the moment the contracts are deployed and verified. Until then there is nothing to call: any address claiming to be $KRILL is fake.
